This
is an automotive fuel filter produced by Wald for an U.S. client.
This particular filter is used in heavy duty and racing applications
and must meet stringent specifications. The following processes were
used in the manufacture of this filter:
Zinc Die Casting
Steel Stamping & Forming
Deep Drawn Steel
Screw Machine
Cold Heading
Automatic Welding
Chrome Plating
Packaging(clamshell)
Painting (fuel resistant)
Pressure Testing (100%)
The pressure test is a critical
phase of the manufacturing process. A leaking filer could cause
a fire with catastrophic liability to the manufacturer. Wald's 100%
pressure test procedure provides extra protection for the product
user as well as our client. |

| Above,
and above right - These are zinc die cast parts that have
been triple chrome plated. They are handle supports used on outdoor
cooking grills manufactured by one of the leading companies for this
type of product in the U.S.
Right - These are automotive
spindles, which are part of the front suspension. These particular
parts are used on highly customized vehicles whose owners will not
settle for anything less than the ultimate in quality. Made in two
styles, forged 1045 steel and forged 304 stainless steel, the spindles
are machined to exacting tolerances (bearing diameters are held
to +/- .0003"), and the stainless units are polished to a blinding
luster. |
